We spend January walking through our homes,
room by room,
drawing up a list of work to be done,
cracks to be patched.
Maybe this year to balance that list
we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives
not looking for flaws
but for potential.
- Ellen Goodman, 1941-, American Pulitzer Prize-winning Journalist

ah...look for potential, not flaws. Nice. Ellen Goodman is correct of course... We get too caught up with the negatives and do not focus on the positives.
The second photo..the desk with the chair at the end of the bed...light streaming in...lovely.
